John has worked in the building industry for over 30 years, but the story started much earlier. His grandfather was a carpenter, and from a young age, John knew he wanted to build homes—spaces that felt solid, thoughtful and enduring. He spent many years running a successful construction business in Sydney before relocating to the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region in 2019 to establish Nexus Built.

Today, John leads with calm authority and a deep respect for the craft. He is known not just for his technical expertise, but for the way he mentors his team, passing on valuable old-school techniques that continue to shape modern building and carpentry. Tradition and innovation is at the heart of Nexus Built.
